Job Description

Four days at work. Three days off. Every single week.   If you're an experienced Power Press Setter/Operator, you probably don't need someone explaining how to set a press to you.   You know when a tool isn't running quite right. You can look at a component and spot something others might miss. And when there's a problem with the tooling or press, your first instinct is to work out why rather than wait for somebody else to sort it.   If that sounds like you, this Power Press Setter/Operator role is worth a closer look.   You'll work 39 hours across Monday to Thursday, 6:00am to 4:15pm, which means Friday is yours.   Every week.   As a Power Press Setter/Operator, you'll be trusted to change and set a varied range of press tools, including forming, piercing, blanking, roll forming, cropping and progression tooling.   You'll be working across different-sized mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic power presses, using both manual and coil feeding systems.   This isn't simply an operator role.   They need a Power Press Setter/Operator who understands the setting side properly. Someone who can analyse a problem, make the right adjustments, and get the press producing components accurately to drawing specification. Quality matters here too.   You'll carry out your own routine quality checks, using standard workshop measuring equipment including shadow graphs. So you'll need to be comfortable reading engineering, tooling and component drawings and confident checking that what you've produced is right.   There's also an element of preventative maintenance, checking and signing off press guards and keeping accurate production and inspection records.   You'll already have previous experience as a Power Press Setter/Operator and, importantly, hold the relevant Power Press Setter certificates.   Experience working within environments operating to IATF 16949, ISO 9001, AS 9100 and ISO 14001 standards will stand you in good stead.   But experience is only part of it.   You're someone who takes ownership of your machine and your working area. Good housekeeping isn't something you leave until the end of the week. You work safely, follow PPE and health and safety procedures, and take pride in leaving things as they should be.   You can work as part of the team, but you don't need somebody looking over your shoulder all day either.   And when overtime is needed, you're prepared to muck in.   What do you get in return? 39-hour, four-day working week £14.50p/h Monday to Thursday, 6:00am to 4:15pm Every Friday off 25 days' holiday, excluding statutory/public holidays Death in Service cover at 2 x salary Smart Health Virtual GP, including mental health support Bereavement counselling and probate support   If you're an experienced Power Press Setter/Operator who knows how to set tooling properly, solve problems and produce quality work without needing to be micromanaged, this could give you something your current Power Press Setter/Operator role might not.   A three-day weekend. Every week.   This role is exclusive to Marshall Harmony - you won't be contacted by any third parties. If you'd like more info or want to talk it through, just drop us a message, tag someone who'd be perfect for this below or send your CV to the email above.   By submitting my CV, I acknowledge and accept that Marshall Harmony will collect and process my personal information for recruitment purposes and will retain it for a minimum of 24 months in accordance with their Privacy Policy and T&Cs, available at: (url removed)/ | (url removed)/terms-conditions/   Before this retention period expires, Marshall Harmony will contact me to ask whether I wish my data to remain on file within their talent pool
