About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced SEN Teacher with a strong background in supporting children with Autism. This is a rewarding opportunity to join a well-resourced and supportive school, working with a small group of pupils with a range of needs on the Autism Spectrum.
You will be responsible for delivering a tailored curriculum that supports each child's individual learning journey. The successful candidate will make part of a team tasked with creating a nurturing and structured environment that promotes academic progress, emotional development, and social skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver differentiated lessons that meet the diverse needs of pupils with Autism
Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
Monitor and assess pupil progress, adapting approaches as necessary
Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
Work collaboratively with parents, carers, and multi-disciplinary teams
Manage classroom behaviour in a positive and consistent manner The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or equivalent)
Proven experience teaching children with Autism and complex needs
Strong understanding of relevant teaching strategies
Excellent classroom management and communication skills
