About the Role
An inclusive and high-achieving primary school in Lambeth is seeking an experienced Primary Class Teacher to join their team from Monday 5th January 2026. This full-time position will see you teaching a Year 4 class on a long-term basis until the end of the academic year, with the potential for a permanent post thereafter.
The successful teacher will deliver engaging, well-structured lessons, maintain strong classroom routines, and promote a positive learning culture. The class is well-behaved and supported by a capable Teaching Assistant, making this an excellent opportunity for a committed and creative practitioner.
Key Responsibilities
Lead a Year 4 class, delivering high-quality teaching and learning.
Plan and assess in line with the National Curriculum.
Create an inclusive classroom that supports all learners.
Maintain strong behaviour management and clear expectations.
Contribute to team planning and the wider school community.
Candidate Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential.
Recent KS2 teaching experience, ideally in Year 4 or upper KS2.
Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
Up-to-date knowledge of safeguarding and curriculum changes.
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
Contract Details
Full-time from January 5th, 2026.
Long-term contract through to July 2026.
Competitive rate on the Main Pay Scale (Inner London).
Standard teacher hours with full class responsibilities.
