About the Role:
Cover People are currently recruiting for Early Career Teachers (ECTs) to join a range of supportive and welcoming Primary and SEND schools based in South Manchester, starting from September 2025.
This is a flexible opportunity for passionate and committed ECTs looking to gain valuable classroom experience, develop their teaching practice, and make a meaningful impact from the start of their careers. A range of roles are available including day-to-day supply, short-term, and long-term placements, with the potential for permanent positions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver high-quality teaching across a range of subjects to primary-aged pupils
• Create a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment
• Work collaboratively with school staff to support whole-school goals
• Track pupil progress and provide meaningful feedback
• Continue professional development with guidance from experienced mentors
Person Specification:
Essential:
• QTS status (achieved or pending by September 2025)
• Passion for primary education and inclusive teaching
• Adaptability across curriculum areas and year groups
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Right to work in the UK
Desirable:
• Experience in SEND settings
• Familiarity with the ECT induction process
• Interest in developing a long-term teaching career
