We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our dedicated team at a thriving school in Plymouth, part of a fantastic local Multi-Academy Trust. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking for a gentler introduction to classroom teaching, while still making a real impact on pupils' learning and development. About the Role As our HLTA, you will: Deliver pre-set lessons in the absence of the class teacher. Provide PPA (Planning, Preparation and Assessment) cover. Work closely with teachers to support targeted interventions across key stages. Contribute to the learning, progress, and well-being of our pupils in a flexible and hands-on role. Ideal Candidate This role is perfect for: Recent BEd graduates who are not yet ready to commit to full-time class teaching. Experienced TAs or HLTAs seeking progression. Individuals with a passion for education and a desire to work collaboratively within a team. We are looking for someone who is: Confident managing a class and delivering engaging lessons from pre-prepared plans. Adaptable and proactive in a dynamic school setting.
