Academics is delighted to be working with a highly regarded primary school in Colchester, seeking a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join their team. This vibrant and supportive school is known for its inclusive approach and commitment to nurturing every child's potential.
The Role:
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:
Work closely with class teachers to support pupils across Key Stage 1 and/or 2
Help deliver engaging activities and interventions tailored to individual needs
Support pupils with additional learning needs, including literacy and numeracy
Encourage pupil confidence, independence, and engagement in learning
Be a positive role model and contribute to a warm, safe classroom environment
Requirements:
Experience working with children (school, tutoring, childcare, or similar settings)
Confident supporting literacy and numeracy activities
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
A proactive and caring attitude
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)
