SENCO – Primary School (Harrow) Contract: Maternity Leave Cover – 1 Year
Start Date: ASAP or January 2026

Pertemps Education is delighted to be supporting a wonderful and inclusive Primary school in Harrow in their search for an experienced and motivated SENCO to join the team on a one-year maternity cover contract.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in leading SEND provision across the school and ensuring every pupil receives the support they need to thrive.
The Role
Lead, coordinate, and evaluate the school’s SEND provision.
Work closely with teachers, support staff, and external agencies to ensure high-quality support for pupils with additional needs.
Oversee and update EHCPs, provision maps, and intervention plans in line with statutory requirements.
Support staff through training, guidance, and modelling of effective SEND strategies.
Monitor progress, maintain accurate records, and communicate effectively with parents and carers.
Contribute to a warm, nurturing school culture that prioritises inclusion, wellbeing, and achievement.The School Offers

Holds the National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCO) or is working towards it.
Has proven experience supporting and coordinating SEND provision in a primary setting.
Possesses excellent knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and statutory responsibilities.
Demonstrates strong communication, organisational, and leadership skills.
