We’re looking for experienced, understanding, and emotionally intelligent Teaching Assistants to work across schools in Doncaster. If you’re calm in the chaos, great at building trust, and ready to adapt to meet individual needs—you could be exactly who these pupils need.
What makes you a great fit:
• Experience working with children with SEMH or behavioural needs
• A calm, compassionate approach and great communication skills
• The ability to adapt your style to support each pupil as an individual
• De-escalation skills or Team Teach training (desirable but not essential)
• A genuine desire to make school a safe, supportive space for every child
You’ll be doing things like:
• Providing 1:1 and small group support
• Supporting emotional regulation and helping pupils re-engage with learning
• Keeping clear records and working closely with teaching and SEN teams
• Making sure every child has the chance to thrive in the classroom—no matter what
