GSL Education are seeking a committed Primary School Teacher to work in a variety of supportive and inclusive primary schools in the Barnsley area. This exciting opportunity is ideal for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) who want to make a real difference.
About the Role:
As a Primary Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging, inclusive lessons tailored to different learning abilities. Whether you’re covering a single day or committing long-term, your role will be to foster a nurturing and stimulating environment that encourages every child to achieve their best.
Primary School Teacher Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the national curriculum.
Support the academic and emotional development of pupils across all primary key stages.
Adapt teaching methods and resources to meet individual learning needs.
Create a positive and safe classroom culture that supports effective learning.
Assess, record, and report on the progress and development of pupils.
Collaborate with fellow staff, support staff, and parents to ensure pupils’ success.
Manage classroom behaviour efficiently and encourage respectful relationships.
Take part in school activities and contribute to the wider school community.
Requirements for a Primary Teacher:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
Previous experience teaching in primary schools in the UK is desirable.
Strong classroom management and interpersonal skills.
A flexible and resilient approach to teaching.
A commitment to upholding the highest standards of safeguarding.
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one.
