GSL Education are currently recruiting for a passionate and proactive Primary School Teaching Assistant to support learning across Key Stages in a welcoming Doncaster school. This role begins in September 2025 and offers the chance to contribute meaningfully to pupils' academic and emotional development.
Role Overview:
As a Primary TA, you will support classroom teachers in creating an engaging learning environment and provide one-to-one or small group assistance to pupils who need extra help to reach their full potential.
Responsibilities as a Primary TA:
Support class teachers in delivering planned lessons and activities.
Provide tailored assistance to pupils with varying learning needs.
Encourage positive behaviour and help manage classroom routines.
Assist with assessments, resource preparation, and administrative tasks.
Build strong, respectful relationships with pupils, staff, and families.
Help promote a positive, inclusive, and stimulating school atmosphere.
Candidate Requirements for Primary TA:
Previous experience working with primary-aged children (school or childcare setting).
Good literacy and numeracy skills.
A caring and flexible attitude with strong communication skills.
A team-player who thrives in a collaborative environment.
An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
A CV covering the last 10 years with any employment gaps clearly explained.
