The Role

Position: Primary SEMH Teacher

Contract: Full-Time, Permanent
As a Primary SEMH Teacher, you will:
*
Deliver a broad and balanced curriculum tailored to the needs of pupils with SEMH and associated needs
*
Foster strong relationships with pupils built on consistency, empathy and trust
*
Create a calm, safe, and structured classroom environment where pupils feel secure and valued
*
Plan differentiated lessons that develop key academic and life skills
*
Work closely with support staff, therapists, and senior leaders to provide holistic, individualised support
*
Contribute to behaviour support plans and EHCP reviews
*
Be a positive, resilient role model who believes in every child’s potential
What We’re Looking For
*
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or QTLS) – primary or special school background
*
Experience working with children with SEMH, SEND or complex behavioural needs
*
Strong understanding of trauma-informed and attachment-aware practices
*
Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
*
Empathetic, calm and reflective approach
*
Ability to build meaningful relationships with pupils and families
*
A team player committed to inclusive education and continuous development
