Primary SEN Teacher – Mainstream SEN Unit
Location: Lambeth
Contract Type: Full-time, Long-term (with potential to go permanent)
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: MPS + SEN Allowance (depending on experience)
Pertemps Education are seeking a passionate and dedicated Primary SEN Teacher to join a thriving mainstream primary school with a specialist SEN unit attached. This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher who is committed to providing an inclusive and nurturing learning environment for pupils with additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Speech and Language difficulties, and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges.
The Role:
Deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons to pupils with EHCPs working within a smaller class setting
Work collaboratively with support staff, therapists, and the wider school SEN team to meet each child’s individual needs
Plan and adapt learning to promote progress in both academic and social development
Use creative and engaging approaches to ensure pupils access the curriculum in a meaningful way
Contribute to a positive, supportive environment that celebrates every child’s successThe Ideal Candidate:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – SEN experience in primary settings is essential
A strong understanding of strategies for supporting children with ASC, SLCN, and SEMH
A nurturing, patient and resilient approach to teaching and behaviour management
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team
