GSL Education are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Primary SEN Teacher for a full-time position at a specialist school in Havant. The school caters to pupils with a wide range of special educational needs, including autism, speech and language difficulties, sensory processing challenges, and complex learning needs. About the Role:
Primary SEN Teacher
Location: Havant
Salary Scale: £31,650 to £49,084 per annum
Start Date: ASAP
Primary SEN Teacher Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging, individualised lessons tailored to the diverse needs of SEN pupils.
Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment where every child feels valued and understood.
Implement EHCP (Education, Health and Care Plan) targets effectively into daily teaching.
Use a range of teaching strategies and communication tools.
Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and provide regular feedback to parents and carers.
Collaborate closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and other multi-disciplinary team members.
Promote emotional regulation, independence, and social interaction through positive behaviour support.
Ensure safeguarding policies are upheld and the well-being of every pupil remains the highest priority.
Requirements for the Primary SEN Teacher Role:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), QTLS, or be working towards it.
Experience or a strong interest in teaching pupils with special educational needs.
Empathy, patience, and a creative approach to teaching.
A clear, checkable work history.
A current enhanced DBS or willingness to apply for one through GSL Education.

Have the right to work in the UK.
Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education
