Primary SEND Teacher
Salary: £32,000 - £42,000
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time (Monday - Friday, 08:15-16:00)
Are you a dedicated educator driven by the belief that every learner deserves a pathway to independence? We are seeking a Primary SEND Teacher to join our inclusive education community, specifically working with pupils across KS1 and KS2 with a spectrum of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
This role is about more than classroom delivery; it is about being the architect of a child's success. You will deliver a broad and balanced curriculum with a strong focus on phonics, reading, and maths, while embedding communication and emotional regulation into every part of the school day to prepare pupils for their transition to KS3.
Benefits:
Access to comprehensive induction and ongoing training in SEN awareness, first aid, and safeguarding.
Join a team driven by a shared purpose and continuous improvement within an expanding network.
Enjoy a term-time working pattern with competitive holiday pay.
Opportunities for advancement across our growing transport and care divisions.
Responsibilities:
Design and review learning programmes aligned to EHCP outcomes, adapting environment and pace to meet diverse SEND profiles.
Create a calm, structured learning environment using consistent routines, visual supports, and nurture-informed practice.
Identify barriers to learning and maintain detailed records of progress, using data to inform precise next steps for academic and personal development.
Work closely with therapists (SaLT, OT) and support staff to ensure communication and regulation strategies are implemented consistently.
Act as a key contributor to Annual Reviews and EHCP processes, working in partnership with parents and carers to celebrate every "small win." Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a recognised degree, with evidence of ongoing professional development.
Proven track record in KS1/KS2, adapting teaching for sensory, communication, SEMH, and cognitive needs.
Strong understanding of positive behaviour support, trauma-informed practice, and EHCP frameworks.
Ability to write high-quality IEPs and communicate professionally with families and multi-agency professionals.
(Desirable): Training in AAC, phonics interventions, or specialist approaches related to ASD and complex needs. Even if you don't meet every single criterion listed, if you are a resilient individual with a genuine passion for supporting students and a willingness to learn, we would still love to hear from you.
