SEND Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:

Support children with a range of special educational needs (ASD, ADHD, SEMH, MLD, and more)
*
Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging, inclusive lessons
*
Provide 1:1 or small group support, helping pupils reach their full potential
*
Promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being
*
Adapt learning materials and approaches to meet individual needs
*
Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals to support pupils’ progress
SEND Teaching Assistant Requirements:

Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEND
*
A calm, patient, and nurturing approach
*
Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
*
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
