Role Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic, adaptable, and committed Primary School Teacher to work on a supply basis across our partner schools. This flexible role offers a variety of teaching experiences in different school settings, year groups, and communities — with full support from the Applebough Education team.
Importantly, for the right candidate, this supply position may develop into a long-term or permanent teaching role within one of our partner schools.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum and school policies.
*
Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment that encourages pupil achievement.
*
Follow existing lesson plans or, when needed, prepare suitable learning materials.
*
Manage classroom behaviour effectively and maintain a safe learning environment.
*
Support the educational and emotional development of all pupils.
*
Collaborate with school staff to ensure continuity of learning and uphold school standards.
*
Demonstrate flexibility, professionalism, and reliability in every school placement.
*
Represent Applebough Education positively and uphold our values in all partner schools.
Qualifications and Experience
*
Bachelor’s degree in Education or a relevant subject area (essential).
*
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (essential).
*
Experience teaching primary-aged pupils across different year groups (preferred).
*
Strong understanding of the national curriculum and effective classroom practice.
*
Ability to quickly adapt to new school environments and teaching approaches.
