Job Description
A warm and welcoming primary school in the heart of Chorlton is seeking an inspirational Reception Class Teacher to join their Early Years team from January 2026. This is a maternity cover position for the duration of one calendar year.

About the Role:
The Reception Class Teacher will play a key role in supporting children through their first formal year of education. The successful candidate will:
Plan, deliver, and assess engaging and developmentally appropriate learning experiences across the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
Foster a nurturing, inclusive, and stimulating environment where every child feels valued and safe.
Use a balance of play-based and structured learning to promote early literacy, numeracy, and social skills.
Maintain accurate observations and assessments in line with EYFS requirements, tracking progress and identifying next steps.
Build strong, positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues to support holistic development.
Work collaboratively with the EYFS team to plan creative topics and share best practice.This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about giving children the best possible start to their educational journey. Hold a relevant Teaching qualification
