Job Description
A vibrant and nurturing 2-form entry primary school in Urmston, Trafford, is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Year 1 Teacher to join their dedicated team from January 2026. This is a full-time position for two terms, offering an exciting opportunity to work within a supportive and forward-thinking school community that is passionate about providing exceptional education for all pupils.

The Role
The successful candidate will take responsibility for a Year 1 class, supporting pupils as they transition from the Early Years Foundation Stage into Key Stage 1. This is a crucial stage in a child's education, and the school is looking for someone who can make learning engaging, purposeful, and joyful while building on the strong foundations established in Reception.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality lessons in line with the Key Stage 1 National Curriculum.
Provide a smooth and supportive transition from EYFS to Year 1, ensuring children continue to develop confidence and independence.
Create a positive, stimulating classroom environment that promotes curiosity and a love of learning.
Track and monitor pupil progress, identifying areas for support and challenge.
Work collaboratively with the parallel Year 1 teacher and support staff to ensure a consistent and cohesive approach.

Hold a relevant Teaching qualification
Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
