Year 4 Primary Teacher

Are you an engaging and creative teacher looking for a fresh challenge in a supportive environment? Tradewind Recruitment is looking to appoint an enthusiastic Year 4 Teacher for a popular primary school in Wigan.

This full-time role is set to begin after the Easter break and will continue until the end of the academic year in July 2026.

The Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a school known for its community feel and commitment to staff wellbeing. As the Year 4 class teacher, you will be responsible for keeping students motivated and engaged as they approach the end of Lower Key Stage 2.

Location: Wigan (easily accessible via M6 and local rail links).

Start Date: Monday, April 20th, 2026 (Post-Easter).

Duration: Full Summer Term.

Year Group: Year 4.

Pay: £130 - £212 per day (depending on experience).

What We're Looking For

The school is seeking a teacher who can bring the curriculum to life and manage a classroom with confidence. You should have:

A Creative Approach: The ability to plan and deliver lessons that capture the imagination of 8 and 9-year-olds.

Strong Assessment Skills: Experience in tracking pupil progress and using data to inform future planning.

Collaborative Spirit: A willingness to work closely with the Year 4 parallel teacher and the wider KS2 team.

Inclusion Focus: A commitment to supporting students with diverse learning needs and maintaining an inclusive classroom culture.

Requirements

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

Experience of teaching within Key Stage 2

An enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service (or be prepared to apply for a new one).

CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible
