Year 3 Class Teacher

Pay Rate: £150 - £209 per day 

Location: Wigan (WN postcode area)

Are you an assertive, engaging, and highly organised teacher?

Tradewind are working with a primary school in Wigan who are seeking an experienced Year 3 Teacher to step in immediately in September to provide stability and leadership for a Lower Key Stage 2 class during a period of staff absence.

The Role

Due to the nature of the cover, the school is specifically looking for an individual with strong behaviour management skills who can establish clear boundaries, maintain routines, and re-engage the learners quickly.

Key Responsibilities:

Classroom Leadership: Take immediate control of the learning environment, implementing the school's behaviour policy with consistency and fairness.

Curriculum Delivery: Deliver plans and adapt them to meet the specific needs of the pupils in Year 3.

Stability: Provide a sense of continuity and security for the children during a period of change.

Progress Tracking: Quickly assess where the children are in their learning journey to ensure no time is lost during the term.

KS2 Expertise: A solid understanding of the transition from Year 2 into Year 3.

What We're Looking For

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks

Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any employment breaks must be explained

You must have the legal right to work in the UK
