Salary: £160–£230 per day (dependent on experience and pay scale)
Contract Type: Full-time, Ongoing (with planning and preparation responsibilities)
A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Quinton (B32) is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Year 5 Class Teacher to join their team from September 2025. This is a full-time position that includes full class teacher responsibilities—planning, preparation, delivery, marking, and assessment.
You will join a friendly and supportive Key Stage 2 team who are passionate about delivering high-quality education in a school with a strong community ethos and a commitment to both pupil and staff development.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver well-planned, engaging, and differentiated lessons aligned with the Year 5 curriculum
Take full responsibility for planning, preparation, assessment, and marking
Create a positive and inclusive learning environment with high standards of behaviour
Monitor and assess pupil progress using a range of assessment tools
Work collaboratively with colleagues to plan and deliver a creative, balanced curriculum
Engage positively with parents and carers to support pupil outcomes
Attend staff meetings, planning sessions and contribute to school development initiatives
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
Recent experience teaching in Key Stage 2, ideally Year 5
Strong understanding of the national curriculum and effective classroom management strategies
Committed to high standards and the individual development of each pupil
Collaborative, reflective, and passionate about inclusive teaching
Ability to manage a full teaching workload and contribute positively to the school community
