Year 1 Class Teacher – September Start – NG5
Location: Nottingham, NG5
Start Date: September 2025
Hours: Full-time, Term Time
Contract Type: Long-term (potential for permanent)

Class Mate is partnering with a friendly primary school in the NG5 area to recruit a dedicated and experienced Year 1 Teacher for a September start. This role is initially long-term with strong potential for a permanent appointment.
About the Role:
*
Full responsibility for a Year 1 class of 29 pupils
*
Plan, deliver, and assess engaging literacy, numeracy, and foundation subject lessons
*
Build phonics and early reading skills through structured approaches (e.g. Little Wandle)
*
Maintain high expectations for behaviour, engagement, and progress
*
Collaborate closely with a teaching assistant and a supportive SLT to meet individual pupil needs
