SANZA Teaching Agency is excited to be supporting a welcoming and forward-thinking Primary School in Islington, currently recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 2 Teacher to join their KS1 team from September 2025.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled Class Teacher who is passionate about teaching, inspiring young minds, and committed to helping pupils achieve their full potential in KS1.
✨ The Role - Year 2 Class Teacher:
Take full classroom responsibility as a Year 2 Teacher, teaching a vibrant and engaged class
Deliver creative, well-planned lessons that follow the KS1 National Curriculum
Ensure consistent assessment, marking, and feedback to support pupil progress
Focus on high-quality Phonics instruction and support early reading development
Differentiate activities to meet the diverse needs of learners, including SEND and EAL pupils
Establish a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment
Work closely with your year group partner and wider KS1 team
Participate in regular CPD, staff meetings, and contribute to wider school life✅ Ideal Candidate - Year 2 Teacher:
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and has recent experience as a KS1 or Primary Teacher
Confident in delivering engaging Phonics lessons and promoting reading fluency
Skilled at behaviour management and creating a positive learning atmosphere
Well-organised, reliable, and able to plan and teach independently
Understands the importance of inclusive, pupil-centred teaching
Has strong knowledge of the KS1 curriculum and assessment frameworks
