Primary Teacher | Primary School in Berkhamsted | September Start Paid to Scale Supply Desk is currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Primary Teacher to join a welcoming and well-resourced primary school in Berkhamsted. This full-time position is available from September and offers a fantastic opportunity to work in a supportive environment where staff are passionate about delivering high-quality education. The ideal candidate will be a committed classroom practitioner with a passion for inspiring young learners and a drive to make a real difference in their education. Job Description: Plan, deliver and assess engaging and creative lessons in line with the National Curriculum. Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with SEND and EAL. Establish a positive and stimulating classroom environment that promotes curiosity, independence, and a love of learning. Maintain high expectations for pupil behaviour, progress, and achievement. Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues to foster a collaborative and supportive learning community. Participate actively in school life, including meetings, training, and extracurricular activities. Monitor and track pupil progress, providing regular feedback and adapting teaching accordingly. Work closely with teaching assistants and support staff to ensure the best outcomes for all children. Our Ideal Candidate Will: Hold UK QTS (Qualified Teacher Status). Have experience teaching in a UK primary school (ECTs welcome to apply). Be a motivated and reflective practitioner with a child-centred approach. Demonstrate excellent classroom and behaviour management skills. Be confident in using formative and summative assessment to drive pupil progress. Have strong communication and organisational skills. Be proactive, flexible, and eager to contribute to the wider school community. Hold (or be willing to obtain) a clear Enhanced DBS check.
