Reception Teacher – QTS Required
Location: Birmingham, B23
Position Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: MPS – UPS (dependent on experience)
Start Date: September 2025
A nurturing and community-focused primary school in the B23 area of Birmingham is currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Reception Teacher to join their Early Years team from September 2025. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified professional who is enthusiastic about giving young children the very best start to their educational journey.
The school prides itself on creating a safe, inclusive and stimulating environment where all pupils are encouraged to become confident, independent learners. Staff work closely with families and the wider community to ensure that every child is supported holistically — socially, emotionally, and academically.
As a Reception Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in delivering the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, helping children develop essential language, literacy, numeracy and personal skills through purposeful play and structured learning. You will work alongside experienced practitioners and receive strong support from leadership and the wider school team.
We are looking for someone who:
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Has experience or strong understanding of the EYFS framework
Is passionate about early childhood development and child-centred learning
Has strong communication, organisation and behaviour management skills
Has an up-to-date DBS or is willing to apply for one
Is committed to inclusive, values-driven education and teamwork
