Job Description
A welcoming and inclusive mainstream primary school in the Lambeth borough is currently seeking a qualified Primary Teacher to join their team to teach a small Year 1 class of up to five children. The class consists of pupils with additional needs, including Autism and ADHD.
This is a fantastic opportunity for both Experienced Teachers and ECTs with QTS or a PGCE. The school offers strong induction and mentoring support and is open to upskilling the right candidate.
About the Role:

Teaching a small Year 1 class (max. 5 pupils) with SEND needs
*
Full-time, temp-to-perm position
*
Use of Makaton, PECS, and Colourful Semantics is essential or highly desirable
*
Behaviour management skills are key
*
Supported by experienced teaching assistants and SENCO
Requirements:
*
QTS or PGCE (essential)
*
DBS on the Update Service (or willing to obtain)
*
At least 2 years of employment references
*
Experience working with SEND, particularly Autism and ADHD
*
Familiarity or experience with PECS, Makaton, and Colourful Semantics
*
Strong classroom and behaviour management
