Primary Teacher - Small Group (Year 1 ASD)
Location: Hammersmith and Fulham (commutable from Hounslow, Ealing, Acton, Chiswick, Brentford, and Richmond)
Daily Pay: £180-£240 - Paid to Inner London Teacher Scale
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Full-time, Long Term to Permanent
Long Term Futures are working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in West London that prides itself on its nurturing environment and high staff-to-pupil ratio. This fantastic opportunity is for a Primary Teacher to work with a small class of four pupils in Year 1, all of whom have a diagnosis of ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) and Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). The school's small cohort means you can make a truly meaningful impact on each child's learning and personal development.
About the Role
This position will suit a dedicated and patient Primary Teacher who is passionate about working with children with additional needs. Your responsibilities will include:
Planning and delivering engaging lessons tailored to individual EHCP targets
Providing small group instruction that supports communication, social interaction, and core skills
Implementing effective behaviour management strategies to support positive behaviour
Working collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, SEN professionals, and families
Regularly monitoring and reporting on pupil progressThis role is ideal for an ECT eager to gain specialist experience or an experienced teacher looking for a rewarding, pupil-focused role.
What We're Looking For
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience or passion for working with children with ASD or complex needs
Ability to differentiate teaching to meet individual needs
Strong lesson planning and organisational skills
