Are you a nurturing, creative, and committed teacher looking to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young learners with Special Educational Needs (SEN)?
We are seeking a Qualified Teacher to join a dedicated team at a welcoming SEN school in Ely for a maternity cover position.
About The School :
This school supports primary-aged children with a wide range of special educational needs, including autism, moderate to severe learning difficulties, communication needs, and social, emotional, and mental health challenges. They provide a personalised, inclusive curriculum in a calm and caring environment where every child is supported to thrive.
About the Role:
This is a maternity cover post for a Primary Class Teacher, responsible for a small class of pupils with varying additional needs. You will be supported by experienced teaching assistants and work closely with our therapy and pastoral teams to deliver high-quality, meaningful education.

Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to the individual needs and EHCPs of pupils
Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment
Work collaboratively with support staff to ensure consistent and high-quality provision
Build strong relationships with pupils, families, and multi-agency teams
Monitor and assess progress, adapting teaching strategies accordingly
Contribute to the wider life of the school and support pupils' social and emotional development
We Are Looking For Someone Who:
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Has experience teaching in a primary setting (SEN experience is desirable but not essential)
Is patient, resilient, and able to adapt teaching to meet diverse needs
Has strong communication and teamwork skills
Is passionate about inclusive education and supporting vulnerable learners
Demonstrates a nurturing, child-centred approach to teaching
