Job Title: Primary Teaching Assistant (TA) Location: Ashington Salary: £84 - £110 per day (Depending on experience) Start Date: Immediate Contract Type: Daily Supply, Long-Term Are you passionate about supporting young learners in their early education journey? If so, GSL Education are currently recruiting a dedicated and adaptable Primary Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Ashington. About the Role: As a Primary TA, you will work closely with class teachers to support pupils across Early Years, Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2. Your role will involve delivering targeted interventions, supporting classroom activities, and helping pupils to overcome barriers to learning. Key Responsibilities: Providing in-class support across a range of subjects and year groups. Assisting in delivering structured literacy, numeracy, and phonics interventions. Working one-to-one or in small groups with pupils requiring additional help. Supporting children with additional needs, including SEND and EAL. Helping to create a positive, stimulating, and safe learning environment. Supporting with classroom management and promoting positive behaviour. Liaising with teaching staff, SENCOs, and parents when required. Job Requirements: Experience working in a UK primary school or relevant child support setting. A good understanding of the National Curriculum and age-appropriate strategies. Compassionate, patient, and proactive with a commitment to pupil welfare. Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one through GSL. Eligibility to work in the UK. What does GSL Education Offer?
