The Role:
You’ll deliver targeted reading support across KS1 and KS2. Expect to run phonics and guided-reading groups, provide 1:1 fluency and comprehension practice, and help pupils build stamina and confidence. You’ll prepare simple resources, log impact, and share next steps with class teachers.
The Candidate:
You communicate clearly, build rapport quickly, and keep sessions purposeful. You’re organised, patient, and motivated to help pupils make measurable gains in literacy.
Requirements
• Degree – A 2:2 or above in any subject.
• Communication – Clear, confident verbal and written skills.
• Enhanced DBS – Held already or willing to obtain.
• Desire to work in education/with children – Genuine commitment to pupil progress and wellbeing.
• Experience working with children – Any relevant experience (tutoring, mentoring, volunteering) is desirable but not essential.
