Job Title: Principal Air Quality Consultant
Location: London (Hybrid)

A leading environmental consultancy is seeking an experienced Principal Air Quality Consultant to join its expanding London team. This is an outstanding opportunity for a senior professional to take ownership of major air quality and EIA projects, lead a talented team, and play a key role in shaping future business growth.
As a Principal Air Quality Consultant, you will manage the delivery of complex assessments across transport, infrastructure, and urban development projects, combining hands-on technical expertise with leadership and client management. The role offers hybrid working, flexibility, and a clear pathway to Associate level.

Duties for the role of Principal Air Quality Consultant include:
Leading and managing multi-disciplinary air quality projects from start to finish
Providing technical direction on dispersion modelling using ADMS and AERMOD
Preparing EIA air quality chapters and high-quality technical reports
Managing key client relationships and supporting business development initiatives
Coaching and mentoring junior consultants across the team
Liaising with regulators, planning authorities, and stakeholders to ensure compliance
Requirements:
Minimum 6 years' experience in air quality consultancy or regulation
Proficiency in ADMS, AERMOD, and IAQM/EPUK guidance
Degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Geography, or related discipline
Chartered status (CEnv/IAQM) or working toward
Proven track record in leadership, client management, and project delivery
Full UK driving licence
