Principal / Associate Civil Engineer
Location: Manchester
Salary: £55,000–£65,000 (DOE) + benefits package (~£4,000)
About the Role:
A growing, forward-thinking engineering consultancy is expanding its brand-new Manchester office and is seeking an ambitious Principal or Associate Civil Engineer to join the team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to make their mark, lead multidisciplinary projects, and play a key role in shaping the continued growth of the Manchester presence.
You’ll join a supportive team that will fully back your development across a wide range of sectors, clients and engineering disciplines.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead technical delivery, taking ownership of drawings, calculations, reports and design documentation while ensuring compliance with relevant design guides, standards and CDM 2015 responsibilities.

Coordinate and support engineers and technicians, developing junior team members and maintaining internal procedures, quality standards and risk management practices.

Use Civil 3D, CAD and other design/analysis software to develop practical engineering solutions, resolve technical challenges and support construction through site visits.
*
Manage multidisciplinary project delivery, including client and third-party coordination, presentations to varied audiences, resource planning and financial control.
*
Prepare fee proposals, budgets and cost estimates, support business development, grow client relationships and take ownership of ongoing personal development.
Requirements:
* Recent consultancy experience in the North West.
* Master’s degree in Civil and/or Structural Engineering (desirable).
* Chartered or near-chartered status with ICE or IStructE.
