Principal Data Consultant
Location: UK Home-Based (with very occasional travel to London)
Type: Full-time | Permanent
Salary: £75-110k (Dependent on Experience) + £6k Car allowance + Bonus
Are you a strategic thinker with deep technical expertise in data platforms? We’re looking for a Principal Data Consultant to lead transformative client engagements, drive technical governance, and support business development—all while working remotely from anywhere in the UK.
💼 What You’ll Do:
* Lead and govern complex client projects, ensuring high-quality deliverables and client satisfaction.
* Provide technical escalation support and maintain key certifications.
* Drive strategic planning, risk management, and internal process improvements.
* Support pre-sales activities and foster long-term client relationships.
* Mentor and guide team members, contributing to a culture of excellence.
🧠 What You Bring:
* 10+ years in client-facing professional services, with 5+ years in Microsoft data technologies.
* Expertise in Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, Microsoft Fabric (any Databricks experience would be a plus)
* Strong ETL design and implementation skills, with experience in Hadoop, Spark, and Lakehouse architectures.
* Advanced proficiency in Python, Power BI, and statistical methods for predictive modelling.
* Proven experience in BI, data warehousing, and agile delivery environments.
* Exceptional communication, leadership, and strategic decision-making skills.
