A Principal Electrical Engineer is required to join our expanding Dublin office. The successful candidate will be involved in the following rage of projects: Data Centres, Industrial, Commercial, Oil and Gas & Pharma.
Role Responsibilities
* Producing feasibility studies, outline design, detailed design and construction support.
* Producing design drawings, electrical plant selection and specifications.
* SME for the team.
* Liaising with other disciplines.
* Delivering a high calibre of technical quality, contributing to bids (TBA), interfacing with clients and collaborators in design and planning.
* Delivering to agreed budgets and schedules.
* Liaising with power utility companies and managing power supply upgrades
Role Requirements
* 8 years plus as a principal engineer, covering the duties as listed above.
* Candidates with chartership or in the process of attaining chartership will have a distinct advantage.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Must have a full Irish driving licence.
* Candidates must be fluent in English and eligible to work in Ireland.
* Be proficient in the following software, Dialux, Amtech (trimble) Etap, Eracs Cdegs etc. (and be in a position to provide training to others within the group).
* Detailed electrical design experience (LV, MV,HV) in data centre/building services environment. Design experience to include SLD (topology), coordination studies, electrical services design.
* Sound knowledge of key Health and Safety issues and legislation.
* Knowledge of MS Office applications word, excel etc.
* Ability to prioritise own workload
* Ability to work to deadlines
* Managerial skills
* Presentation skills
* Background in consulting or construction preferred.
* Good understanding of international working and business operations of a global consultancy.
