Are you an experienced Electrical Engineer looking to take the lead on high value MEP projects?
Our client, a leading multidisciplinary consultancy with an outstanding reputation across the UK, is looking for a Principal Electrical Engineer to join their growing Building Services team. This is a key position for an experienced professional who combines technical expertise with strong leadership and client facing skills.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the design and delivery of MEP projects valued up to £20M across multiple sectors.Design and specify all electrical systems including distribution, lighting, small power, fire alarm, and security.
Carry out technical calculations, reports, and reviews to ensure full compliance.
Represent the company at client and design team meetings, maintaining excellent relationships.
Mentor and guide junior engineers, ensuring quality and consistency across project outputs.
What They're Looking For
Degree or HND in Electrical or Building Services Engineering.
Chartered Engineer (CIBSE or IET), or working towards chartership.
Extensive experience in building services design, ideally within a consultancy environment.
Strong knowledge of British Standards, IET Wiring Regulations, and design software (Amtech, Relux).
A confident communicator and leader with a proactive, solution-driven mindset.
