Job Description
Principal Electrical Engineer - New Job Opportunity - Initial 12 Month PAYE Contract
Our Client has a requirement for a Principal Electrical Engineer, who will be required to work on a Contract basis in Leatherhead, Surrey.
Location: Leatherhead Surrey, 5 Days per week in office
Contract: 12 Month contract Inside IR35 PAYE
Project: LNG FEED Project (Aramco Experience Required)
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and deliver electrical engineering design activities across all project phases, with a focus on FEED, pre-FEED, and conceptual studies.
Develop electrical systems for medium and high voltage networks (up to 132kV), including overhead lines and reactive power compensation.
Interface with grid operators and ensure compliance with protection, control, and distribution system requirements.
Apply Aramco Standards and Grid Code regulations to all relevant aspects of electrical system design and integration.
Support brownfield modifications, integrating new systems with existing infrastructure.
Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure alignment across project scopes and schedules.
Candidate Requirements:
Minimum 12 years of relevant experience gained with consultant engineering firms, machinery manufacturers, or end users.
Mandatory previous experience working on Aramco projects.
Proven expertise in gas processing or LNG facilities.
In-depth understanding of electrical engineering in energy transition projects and 132kV distribution systems.
Strong knowledge of Aramco electrical standards, including interface and protection requirements.
