Are you a Principal Electrical Engineer looking for the next step in your career?
We are looking for an enthusiastic and well experienced Principal Electrical Engineer to join a leading engineering company, in a 6-month contract position. Our client offers the flexibility to work in a hybrid arrangement, working 3 days a week in their office in Leeds, or to work in a fully remote role.
This role offers the opportunity to work on an exciting variation of national grid and substation projects, with a highly experienced and motivating team.
Key Responsibilities:
-Lead electrical design for National Grid and substation projects.
-Ensure compliance with UK Grid Code and industry standards.
-Review technical calculations, protection studies, and reports.
-Act as the main technical point of contact for clients and stakeholders.
What we are looking for:
-Degree in Electrical Engineering (Master's preferred).
-Chartered Engineer (CEng) or working towards it.
-Extensive experience in this role, with national grid or substation experience.
-Strong leadership, communication, and team management abilities.
-Understanding of health, safety, and environmental practices in the industry
