Principal Energy & Thermal Modelling Consultant
Location: Hertfordshire (Flexible / Hybrid options available)
Salary: Up to £70,000 depending on experience
Are you passionate about shaping a more sustainable built environment? We are seeking an experienced Principal Energy & Thermal Modelling Consultant to lead on energy strategy, overheating analysis, thermal comfort projects, and sustainability-driven design across a range of sectors.
🔎 About the Role
You’ll play a pivotal role in delivering high-impact consultancy services including:
*
Part L compliance, energy strategies, and passive design analysis.
*
Residential overheating and non-domestic thermal comfort studies.
*
Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) to support sustainable decision-making.
*
Leading multi-disciplinary projects from concept through to delivery.
*
Developing innovative approaches to sustainability challenges.
This is a senior opportunity to demonstrate expertise, mentor junior colleagues, and influence both clients and industry best practice.
💡 What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking someone who can bring:

Chartered status (or working towards it) in a relevant professional body.
*
Proven Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) experience.
*
Strong project management skills with the ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams.
*
Excellent technical knowledge of building regulations, policies, and sustainability standards.
*
Outstanding communication, report-writing and client-facing skills.
