This is an excellent opportunity to join my client, a trusted, innovative Multidisciplinary Consultancy renowned for lending their expertise to a wide range of projects across the civil, structural, and hydrological landscapes. They are actively searching for a driven, experienced Principal Flood Risk Assessor committed to working alongside an already-established team of designers and hydrologists at the office based in the historical, industrial town of Wigan.

Responsibilities for the role of Principal Flood Risk Assessor include:
Managing technical tender submissions, including Flood Risk Assessments (FRA), Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA), and drainage assessment reports
Preparing, checking, and submitting reports, calculations, models, and other technical documents
Taking ownership of projects, managing aspects such as resourcing, budgets, timeframes, and delivery/implementation
Managing client and other stakeholder relations, across the public and private sectors
Overseeing the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) of colleagues within the team
Identifying Business Development (BD) opportunities, and working to develop these
Enforcing and upholding the relevant industry standards, processes, procedures, and legislation at all times
Required skills and experience for the role of Principal Flood Risk Assessor include:
A UK Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent qualification) in Civil Engineering, Hydrology, or a similar, relevant discipline
Possess Chartered Status with a relevant, recognised Professional Body (e.g., CIWEM, etc.)
Extensive experience of working in a Flood Risk role, within a UK-based design consultancy setting
Highly proficient in the use of several relevant software systems, including FEH, WINFAP FEH, Flood Modeller, HEC-RAS, AutoCAD, and WinDES
Experience of leading projects and people, at all stages of the process
Outstanding communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
Desirable skills and experience for the role of Principal Flood Risk Assessor include:
A UK Master's Degree (or equivalent qualification) in a relevant discipline
Highly competent in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite (including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
