Principal Mechanical Engineer | London (Hybrid)  Lead innovative, low-carbon building design with a clear path to Associate level  Salary: £60,000 – £75,000 (dependent on experience)  Are you an experienced Mechanical Engineer looking to take a leading role in the delivery of sustainable building projects? With a strong pipeline of work across science and research, education, residential, commercial and public buildings, this is a chance to make real impact and progress towards Associate level.  What you will do  As a Principal Mechanical Engineer, you will:  Lead mechanical design across projects from early concept through to completion  Coordinate closely with clients, architects and multidisciplinary teams  Mentor and support junior and mid-level engineers  Contribute to internal quality, design standards and knowledge sharing  Support business development activity and help shape project strategies  Design and deliver low-energy mechanical systems aligned with net zero goals  What you will bring  Chartered Engineer (CEng) or working towards chartership with a recognised institution  Typically 8+ years’ experience in mechanical building services design within the UK  Proven ability to lead projects and coordinate across disciplines  Strong technical understanding of mechanical systems including HVAC, ventilation, thermal modelling and low-carbon technologies  Experience delivering projects across all RIBA stages  Confident leadership, communication and mentoring skills  A proactive, design-focused mindset with a passion for sustainable engineering  Why this opportunity stands out  This consultancy has built a reputation for delivering well-considered, sustainable designs in close collaboration with architects and clients.
