A London Borough Council are actively seeking a talented and proactive Principal Solicitor to join their Legal Services team. This is a great opportunity to provide expert legal advice across a broad range of property-related matters, including high-value regeneration and development projects. With a flexible working pattern and a supportive team culture, you will play a vital role in helping the Council deliver on its strategic priorities.
Key Responsibilities
Advising on acquisitions, disposals, leases, easements, and development agreements.
Take responsibility for drafting, negotiating, and completing a wide range of property-related legal documents.
Oversee and advise on complex legal transactions, including those involving planning, governance, and social housing.
Supervise junior staff including Legal Officers and Support Officers.
Key Requirements
Qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives.
Strong knowledge and recent experience in regeneration and property law, including landlord and tenant matters.
Experience working within or advising a local authority.
Ability to work independently and manage a varied caseload.
