Job Description
Job Title: Principal / Senior Planned Surveyor
Location: London – Hybrid working available
Contract: 6-month FTC
Salary: Up to £60,000 pro rata
We are working with a leading London-based housing provider who is looking for an experienced Principal / Senior Planned Surveyor to join their team on a fixed-term basis. This role is ideal for someone confident in managing major works contracts – including planned maintenance, cyclical programmes, and scaffolding works – from start to finish.
The Role:
You will take ownership of delivering a varied programme of planned and cyclical projects, ensuring work is carried out to the highest standards, on budget, and within agreed timescales. You’ll prepare specifications, tender and manage contracts, and regularly monitor sites to ensure quality and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage major works contracts, including planned, cyclical, and scaffolding programmes
• Prepare specifications, tender documents, and contract packages
• Oversee contractors and consultants, ensuring delivery meets contractual requirements
• Carry out regular site inspections and monitor works to ensure quality standards are met
• Manage budgets and monitor spend against project plans
• Maintain clear project records and report progress to internal stakeholders
About You:
• Proven experience delivering planned maintenance, cyclical, and scaffolding projects, ideally within housing
• Strong contract management skills and the ability to oversee multiple projects at once
• Knowledge of procurement processes and specification preparation
• Ideally professionally qualified (RICS, CIOB, etc.) or working towards qualification
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
