Job Title: Principal Supportability Engineer Location: Bristol / Hawthorn / Oakhanger / hybrid / remote Pay Rate: Up to £87.00 per hour Via Umbrella (Inside IR35) Contract Length: 12 Months MUST HOLD ACTIVE SC Purpose: Your opportunity to make a real impact in an ambitious outward looking organisation We're looking for a dynamic and inspirational leader to make a real impact by joining us as a manager of integrated product support. This role is new position, created as a result of our continued growth and will deliver technical output and provide leadership and management of a team of Integrated Product Support professionals. You will have broad experience of supporting complex equipment and systems and well-developed leadership and management skills. You will be experienced in a project environment and will likely have project and risk management skills and qualifications. We will expect you to be able to demonstrate examples of collaboration, ownership and delivery. This role requires a broad range of skills as you will be working directly with customers/users, (such as P3M, Supply Chain and Data Analysis), and external suppliers/partners; the role will require some hands-on engineering and analysis. As a Principal Engineer, there will also be a small team of ILS/IPS Engineers to lead, manage and develop; the growth of the next generation of ILS/IPS professionals is important to us and our customers. An effective communicator, the Principal Supportability Engineer will produce written documentation as part of contractual deliverables including Supportability Case Reports. Your role will offer a high level of autonomy with an emphasis on delivery for you and your team. There will be some travel required as our teams operate in hybrid, flexible arrangements, mostly centred around our sites in Devonport and Bristol. There will be some travel required to customers' and suppliers' sites as well as to collaborate with other partners.Essential skills and experience You'll need previous experience in ILS/IPS, ideally with experience of delivering to the UK MOD. Experience of operating in a Project Environment. Experience of supporting complex systems and equipment. Experience of Supportability Analysis and use of a proprietary LSAR. Extensive knowledge of ILS standards for LSA. Excellent written and verbal communication skills Experience with the development and management of support modelling of "In-Service" and Change work packages. Experience of the authoring and management of "In-Service" and change work package Supportability Case Reports. Level 6 or above qualification or equivalent in experience. Leadership and management experience of teams. The successful candidate must be able to achieve the appropriate security clearance level for this role. Desirable: Awareness of ITIL processes Raytheon EAGLE application NATO Codification
