I'm working with a leading consultancy in Bristol who are looking to bring in a Principal Transport Planner with a strong background in development planning. This is an opportunity to join a dynamic, forward-thinking team where you'll be at the heart of shaping transport solutions that influence planning applications, masterplans, and sustainable development across the South West and beyond.
What you'll be doing:
·Leading on transport assessments, travel plans, and access strategies for a variety of development projects.
·Managing client relationships, winning work, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and to the highest standard.
·Mentoring junior colleagues and playing a key role in the growth of the team.
·Engaging with local authorities, developers, and stakeholders to unlock sites and deliver practical, sustainable transport solutions.
What we're looking for:
·Proven experience in development planning, ideally at Principal level or ready to step up.
·Strong technical knowledge in transport assessments, junction modelling, and sustainable travel planning.
·Excellent client-facing and communication skills - someone confident in leading meetings and presenting ideas.
·A proactive mindset with the ambition to help grow and develop a busy transport planning team.
