Print Production Controller / Estimator
Basildon, Essex
£40,000 per annum
Permanent position
A successful and well-respected printing firm based in Essex, are currently looking for a motivated and experienced Print Controller to join their Production team.
With a solid background in print manufacturing, you’ll manage projects from initial estimates to delivery, focusing on quality, cost control, and client satisfaction.
Print Controller role responsibilities include:
* Overseeing the complete print production process, maintaining efficiency and quality
* Receiving and interpreting job briefs, ensuring clarity on client needs
* Accurately estimating jobs with clear costings and timelines
* Identifying cost-effective production methods and materials
* Ensuring jobs are delivered on schedule and within budget
* Escalating any issues promptly and support solutions
* Monitoring production, aiming to reduce waste, cost, and lead times
* Communicating status updates to clients and internal teams
* Staying up to date with Management Information System (MIS) software and new print technologies
* Supporting process improvements for better efficiency and quality
Skills & Experience required includes:
* Proven print production experience (ideally in direct mail)
* Strong estimating and commercial skills
* Excellent knowledge of print processes and materials
* Proficiency with MIS and production software
* Being detail-oriented, organised, and able to manage multiple projects under pressure
* Strong communication and teamwork abilities
