Job Description
Print Specialist / Technical Services Representative
Location: Castleford
Salary: DOE
Working Hours: 37.5 Hour Week
Company: Leading packaging and labels manufacturer.
Role: As part of the front-end development team for new and existing projects, the Print Specialist / Technical Services Representative will ensure that jobs are specified to their optimum process, liaising closely with both customer and internal functions as appropriate.

Liaise with Customers and PMA’s regarding New Projects, and Label Specifications (this can include discussions about all aspects of the label design, print, costing and timings)
*
Work closely with the Customer Services & Graphics teams to ensure all areas of the process are captured before jobs go to press
*
Attend Print Production Meetings (PPM) when required
*
Review new artworks
*
Create Print Specifications for new projects
*
Create Costing for proofing exercises.
*
Create Syspro estimates.
*
Understand Metric pricing model.
*
Create pricing within the Metric pricing model.
*
Create Colour Standards, to customer specifications
*
Maintenance of Sequence families for all related Customers.
*
Raise Studio Orders for new and amended artworks, or transfer of work
*
Order tooling for new projects
*
Work with Customers when attending onsite proofing and press approvals
*
Act on behalf of Customer, for proofing and press approvals, when they are unable to attend themselves
*
Keep control of designated Customers/ranges
*
Input ink coverage % into CMS.
*
Actively support and promote CI initiatives within your areas.
*
Actively seek process improvements and cost saving initiatives throughout the business.
*
Understand the Company Quality, Hygiene and Environmental Policies in relation to the relevant standards (specifically BS EN ISO 9001 & PS 9000) and actively promote these within the business.
Requirements:
*
Experience of a similar role within a fast-moving Label Printers / FMCG (fast moving consumer goods) environment i.e. Print Specialist / Technical Services Representative
* Technical knowledge of printing processes - print and packaging
*
Good organizational, problem solving and time management skills
*
Experienced within a packaging manufacturer preferred
*
Well-rounded communication skills and the potential to liaise with all levels in an organization including customers.
*
Knowledge of working in a fast-moving technical environment.
*
Full understanding of combination print reprographics & print process.
