Operational Prison Support
Location: various locations, please enquire on application
Shift Pattern: 37 Hours a week - Monday to Friday
Hourly rate: £14.97 per hour + overtime
Please note a driving licence is required for this role
Ready for a rewarding role in the justice system? We're hiring Operational Support Grade (SSO) staff to join His Majesty's Prison and Probation Service (HMPPS). Contribute to vital security operations including gate duties, visitor checks, prisoner escorts, CCTV monitoring, and more.
Key responsibilities:
Manage entry/exit and searches at the gate
Escort contractors, vehicles, and prisoners
Monitor CCTV, report suspicious activity
Process visitors and oversee mail censorship
Assist with prisoner processing and food deliveryWhat we offer:
