Job Description
Summer-Browning Associates are currently supporting our Central Government client who are seeking a Privacy Data Protection Lead on an initial 6 month contract
Service Location: London, Bristol OR Manchester - (London office visits required bi-weekly)
The ideal candidate:
Expert Legal Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, including a comprehensive understanding of data protection principles and individual rights. Privacy qualifications (e.g., CIPP/E, CIPM) are highly desirable.
Technical & AI Experience: Proven experience delivering data protection advice and work within digital projects, preferably involving Artificial Intelligence or Machine Learning systems.
Risk Assessment: Demonstrable ability to conduct and support Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) with a collaborative, pragmatic, and enabling attitude.
Data Governance: Experience advising on data sharing agreements and implementing appropriate data transfer mechanisms.
Collaboration & Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely with a range of technical and non-technical stakeholders.Public Sector Experience (Desirable):
Experience working in or with the public sector and an understanding of government ways of working.
NB: Successful applicant will be brought on board with a completed BPSS check and be eligible for SC level vetting.
