Private Client Fee Earner Location: Newcastle upon Tyne, Tyne and Wear, North East England Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum Job Description The role of Private Client Fee Earner involves providing comprehensive legal services primarily to private individuals. This position requires managing a varied caseload related to wills, probate, estate administration, trusts, powers of attorney, and related private client matters. The role demands meticulous attention to detail, strong client communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently within a busy legal environment. Job Duties Advise clients on private client matters including wills, inheritance tax planning, trusts, powers of attorney, and estate administration. Draught legal documents such as wills, trusts, and lasting powers of attorney, ensuring accuracy and compliance with current legislation. Manage probate applications and the administration of estates, liaising with executors, beneficiaries, and third parties as necessary. Maintain thorough case files and ensure timely progression of all matters within agreed deadlines. Provide clear and professional advice to clients, managing expectations and maintaining regular communication throughout the legal process. Carry out legal research and keep abreast of legislative changes relevant to private client work. Ensure compliance with regulatory and firm policies, including anti-money laundering procedures and confidentiality requirements. Collaborate with colleagues and external organisations to facilitate effective case management and resolution.
