Private Client Solicitor (3+ PQE)
Wills | Probate | Estate Planning | Senior Role
Location: Bucks (office based)
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent (Part-time considered)
Salary: £30,000 – £65,000 DOE
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00–17:00
Requirement: Must reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting
Start Date: ASAP
The Opportunity
A long-established, busy, and progressive high street law firm with deep local roots and offices across Buckinghamshire is looking to appoint a Private Client Solicitor to lead its thriving department.
This is an excellent opportunity to step into a senior role, taking over a busy and loyal caseload from a long-serving solicitor who is relocating. The position offers long-term career stability, autonomy, and a genuine opportunity to build your profile within a highly respected team.
Key Responsibilities
You will manage a varied and rewarding private client caseload, including:
* Wills and estate planning
* Probate and estate administration
* Trusts and inheritance tax matters
* Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs)
* Drafting a range of legal documents
You will have full support and autonomy to lead the department, whilst being part of a collaborative wider team across the firm’s other offices.
About You
* Minimum of 3 years PQE as a Private Client Solicitor
* Strong technical knowledge in Wills, Probate, LPAs, Trusts, and IHT planning
* Friendly, empathetic, and professional client manner
* Confident working independently and taking ownership of files
* Organised, detail-oriented, and a strong communicator
* Able to reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting
